The album, Equinoxe

Though the Equinoxe was the very first ablbum that I (kowingly) heard from Jarre, it made huge impact right at the start. Just the type of music that I have seaked for so long. Also there was one other thing that made great impact to me, not that I first noticed. When I got that casette from my friend there was something form Jethro Tull on the other side of the casette. More out on the respect to the effort of my friend, I did listened that side once or twice hastly, but every time I returned to the Equinoxe.
At that time I was also reading numerous sci-fi books. My life has always been with technik and technology and sci-fi so the music of Jarre isn't really that strange strand of my life. While I was listening that my very first recording of Jarre's music, I was also reading a book at the same time. It happened to be Stanislav Lem's book Return from the stars. While reading I listened the A-side of the casette, and when it ended I rewinded it and started again. It took me some while before I realised that at the same time that I was reading and listening the music, I also adapted the music to the events in the book. That realisation was as suprising as thrilling. That same thing has happened later on as well.
For some reason there are numerous songs that "talks" to me as images. Most of the time the images come to me very strongly right at the very first time I hear such song. I have found that even though the images created by the music I listen can be from almost any song, most notably they have come from Jarre's music. During these years I have learned to develope these images further, and by the time I got the album Rendez-Vous I quicly composed "mental musicvideo" from the songs of the album.
